Dumpster Sizes

One of our most frequently asked questions is, “How do I know what size dumpster I’ll need?” The answer is there is no one right answer. But if you put a human scale on it, you should have an easier time estimating your needs. The man below is about six feet tall and is standing next to each size dumpster. If you still need assistance, give us a call and our customer service rep can help you decide which will work best for you.

A 30 cubic yard dumpster measures 18' L x 7' W x 6.5' H	A 20 cubic yard dumpster measures 16' L x 7' W x 5' H
A 10 cubic yard dumpster measures 14' L x 6' W x 3.5' H	A 6 cubic yard dumpster measures 12' L x 6' W x 2.5' H

 
A benefit of using Elite is if you are trying to decide between a 10 or 20 yard – you don’t have to! We will deliver a 20 yard dumpster - if you only fill it half full, we will charge you for 10 yards. If you need more room, keep filling the dumpster up and we will charge you the difference up to a 20 yard.
